Description

The reduced contact surface of the Airstripes back system and airy, quick-drying Air Spacer mesh against the back combined with perforated shoulder straps and hip fins ensure maximum airflow, even weight distribution and a snug, secure fit on via ferrata (fixed-rope) routes. A flat-format lid allows space for the head to move, even when wearing a helmet. Loops on the shoulder straps keep via ferrata set carabiners close at hand. And a large front zipper opening and side pockets mean equipment is always easy to access.

600D PES REC BS
210D PA REC BS

  • > D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
  • > PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
  • > PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
  • > REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
  • > BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.

AIRSTRIPES SYSTEM

AIRSTRIPES SYSTEM
AIRSTRIPES

Secure fit
thanks to the streamlined ergonomics of the back padding and carry system.

Effective airflow
thanks to reduced contact surface of the back padding with special ventilation channels between them and breathable 3D mesh.

The benefits
The compact fit gives it stability, preventing load wobble over rough terrain. The padding with ventilation channels also has minimized contact surface, generating airflow across 80% of the back.

Made without intentionally added PFAS

PFAS, sometimes also referred to as PFCs, have been used in outdoor textile finishes for their water-, dirt-, and greaserepellent properties. Many PFAS are highly persistent and can accumulate in the  environment over time.

Since 2020, deuter has used DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finishes without intentionally added PFAS. These finishes are selected in line with deuter’s chemical management requirements and applicable product safety standards.
