deuter celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2023 and thus launches an Anniversary Edition - in classic black and with a very special graphic. This is a tribute to the history of alpinism and deuter's claim to continue to shape mountain sports with innovations. With the climate-neutral Trail, all mountain sports and via ferrata enthusiasts have a perfect companion. The Airstripes back system ensures optimal air circulation, body-hugging weight distribution and thus a compact fit in any terrain. The flat lid design offers good headroom - even with a helmet. Thanks to fixations on the shoulder straps, the carabiners of the via ferrata set are always within reach. In addition, equipment and material are quickly at hand thanks to large zippered front access and side pockets.

AIRSTRIPES SYSTEM

Our unique Airstripes System takes care of that and offers effective ventilation. It consists of two contoured, air-channelled foam profiles that are covered with a highly breathable Wide AirMesh lining. The reduced contact surface results in an optimized fresh air circulation. Also, the pack’s load is kept close to the body and thus won’t throw the rider off balance.

THE RESULT:

The minimal contact surface area of the profiled Airstripes allows free air circulation over 80 % of the back, while still providing a secure, compact fit.

Made without intentionally added PFAS

PFAS, sometimes also referred to as PFCs, have been used in outdoor textile finishes for their water-, dirt-, and greaserepellent properties. Many PFAS are highly persistent and can accumulate in the environment over time.

Since 2020, deuter has used DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finishes without intentionally added PFAS. These finishes are selected in line with deuter’s chemical management requirements and applicable product safety standards.
